Don't kill yourself with hill sprints. One of the most important things to starting working out is to not punish yourself so bad that you are more likely to not do it any more. The run is good, but warm up with a half mile and run another half mile. No reason to do sprints yet. It gets your HR up and all, but running a mile will do that. If you don't feel like your not getting enough out of it, run a little harder for 20 -30 sec, run easy a min and repeat a few times. Push yourself gently at first. You're thinking long term bro!

Thats cool, but I like the hill sprints. The running/jogging is the hard part. The first time I went I didn't even make it around the track once. 1/2 mile was brutal, not to mention a huge improvement. Its amazing how out of shape I am. I am still very motivated however and can hopefully improve the quality of my food intake. I must be in better shape because the hike up and down the ravines and bent over through 1/2 mile of thicket the other day would have killed me before and I didn't even really have a hard time with it. yea me. Man, I still have a long way to go but I feel pretty confident I can do it.
